Our next all-club team event is the local fun run staged at Maroubra South Surf Club - part of the Maroubra beach Octoberfest. It's a hilly 4K loop which teams do once or twice. We will have teams in BOTH the 4K and 8K runs and the 4K walk also.
Starts at 9am from the Surf club and entry is cheap at $15. Mark your forms with "Athletics East" as the team name and make sure you indicate clearly your preferred distance.
Wear your AE gear and hopefully we will have the AE tent for storage and as a place to advertise our club to local runners. If you can spare some time promoting the club - stay around for breakfast (there's even beers available). An increase in membership would be fantastic!!! We have a lot to offer to all those runners out there.
