A number of AEFRC members took part in the SMH Half Marathon today under sunny blue skies and a crisp perfect Sydney morning. Following the new course which seems to have benefited most runners, all 7 SFRs who finished enjoyed being part of the 7,500 starters of this fantastic run. The winner Martin Dent did it in 65 minutes and the leading woman Eliza Stewart did it in 76mins…… Just scraping in by the one hair on his head was Coach Morgan with a time of 96m 52s followed by Sally L in 97m 04s. Personal bests were secured for fellow runners Julia S and Pavel G (all under 120 minutes). 3 members broke the magical 120 minute barrier whilst everyone finished in just over 2 hours. Great work AEFRC runners….. now for the Gold Coast half and later in the year the Sydney run festival/Bridge half.
